Offline Raiding is going to kill a great game

Basically offline raiding and cave blocking are killing this great game - any thoughts from devs on how they will fix this ?

Got raided with c4 3 times in 2 days - its not possible to recover when your getting constantly raided offline - you cant rebuild fast enough as all caves are blocked and if you only have an hour or 2 each day you can not make enough cementing paste to protect yourself ( no dino's to farm with as all get killed in every raid etc)

its a viscious circle which has led to the oficial server i am on being ruined by a small group of players who dominate the server -

apart from this the game is great

seems all games in this genre have the same issues with offline raiding - Ark , Rust, RoK Dayz H1z1 all have massive issues with offline raiding - sad really and says alot about the kind of players in game

sadly your right

i feel though that if they can get the pvp balance right on official server then it will be a sign that the game is truely succesful

the greifers stick to official servers because they know that they will never get kicked or banned due to no mods - just a shame that you cant play on official servers without getting greifed or raided into non existence

Please read the Weekly Digest ... they know about this issue and is attempt to fix it soon with a lot of technology such as offline notification, trap, etc to help with the offline raiding

Dev was already told us that they will also implement time based PvP so the PvP will only turn on in a certain period as well

Please use the search on the forum before you create new topic ... It's there for a reason

The game is actually very successful for PvP. Look at the list of private servers, which grows astronomically daily. People are fed up with the official servers. Sadly, this is the nature of survival games. Official servers won't ever be able to get rid of griefers because they are playing within the rules. They aren't hacking or cheating (most of the time) they are just being douchebags attacking when they know they can't lose.

Private servers (need to find a good one with good admins) don't allow this to happen. If it does, it usually results in player bans.

- i have seen some admin abuse etc on some private servers but generally they are much better than official servers - i have noticed that most of the more pooular private servers have already implemented a ban on blocking caves - seems to be consencus that this needs to be a thing in game in general but devs refuse to stop cave blocking on officiall

offline raiding is tactically the smart move. why go full on frontal if you can do a raid in peace?

oh btw, a full attack on online players would be a war, a raid happens when they dont know.

come back when you have dealt with being raided constantly without the ability to defend yourself or your dino's - to the point where its impossible to recover and your better of starting fresh on a new server -not fun, and the devs know it which is why they are belatedly desperately trying to implement a number of devices to help combat offline raiding/griefing

Yup.. Im done with this game because of this. I only have a few hours a day during the week to play and Im sick of starting over on new servers and losing everything.. I cant keep recovering from the offline raiding. It was a fun ride, but GG offline raider.. you ruined a good game for me.
