Which Dinosaurs collect woods/Thatch?

Hi - I used one of my followers thinking I could collect wood quickly. What I found was two fold. One, the collection was slower, and two, I only collected thatch. I have been looking and have not found video or otherwise to tell me if all dinosaurs collect thatch only or if each do different things.

Oh, as far as slower, I had to press the mouse button each time rather than holding it. That is not the issue - I understand that aspect. But do not want to waste time if all do same thing. For example thatch from tree and maybe meat only from animals.

Does anyone have any thoughts please? Thank You!!!

Trike is just like using a pickaxe - Lots of thatch, little wood.

Phoima is less than a stone axe (thatch only)
Trike does ok both (thatch and wood)
Steg ( both thatch and wood)
Mammoth(mainly wood some thatch)
Bronto ( mainly thatch some wood)

and plus you need to uppgrade melee power on em to make it go faster to collect with them. For instance collecting metal, flint and stone was slower with the ankylo before we uppgraded its melee dmg now its faster, or well maybe not the stone bit since it dosn't get that much stone but the metal and flint is 10x faster than running with a pickaxe plus you need to think about not needing to repair the hatchet or pick-axe and well if you have a metal pick or metal hatchet you need a smithy to repair and thus you have to run back to your base but you wont need to do that with a dino.

what we really need is for the dinos to be able to harvest fiber, they take everything else, wht not fiber, its a bit of a pain having to do it manualy

as for fiber harvesting dino's the gigantapithicus (belived to be sasquatch of today or a very close relative) is being added and that is focused on fiber gathering just wish they would impliment it already come on jat we want giant ape like homonids already.

Fiber I have had no problem with at all. Simply from collecting berries I have collected more than I can use. And I see in the upgraded weapons and I will assume stone walls it won't be needed. For the moment, I would give fiber away after I finish the base walls. For me, wood and thatch - and now metal and hide and that paste for a sadle and something else. Just finding the metal. Then returning with it with out getting attacked. Always 3 tigers or the huge birds grouped or lovely scorpions or two. Then you get back and the T Rex spawns on the beach from no where. Wow! This is an interesting early game. I am still relatively low level and alone so I am enjoy the adventure!

Thank you for your information - I wrote it down to remember. I have seen one mammoth but could never take it alone. I have a lot of leveling to complete. If I can find another trike and avoid the T Rex attack it will be a start.

Trust me m8 as you said your new to the game but you will have fiber issues l8er =) just last night i spent aprox 5000 fiber.
