How do I use Sleeping bags

I am a noob at ark and when i finally got my slepping bag I thought it would just set my spawnpoint for when i died so i didnt have to wand er around to find my hut but instead this fast travel thing popped up is this still how i set my spawn if so then how do i use it.

Once you put it down, that is where you can respawn if you die.

Just know that the sleeping bags only have 1 use.

you need to place it on ground or in your base. when you die there should be option to spawn at the sleeping instead of a zone

Ok i got it so it automatically sets spawn once i place it down but next time i die my spawn gets reset to a spawn zone

and is this fast travel thing like a teleport that drops my items

the simple bed sets my spawn permanantly right?

yep thats it. get a bed for perma respawn!
