Dinos need emotions and personality!
I've put a lot of thought into this idea. Emotions are what will always change, however personality will never change

Emotion - Netural: No stat changes
Emotion - Happy: Play with it a lot and take care of it, and it will gain a boost to all stats as long as it is happy
Emotion - Sad: Animal will refuse to do anything, maybe even eat until you cheer it up. It will be seen usually sulking around, or just laying on the ground.
Emotion - Angry: Some days people are just angry. A skillful person can use this to their advantage, however may refuse commands. Let it take out the anger on its prey, and you may see them rip it to shreds, as well as cheering it up.

Now for Personality.
Lets say I tame this male Raptor. His three personality traits are Lonely, Glutton, and Protective.
Lonely - This dino will be sad if you leave it behind for extended periods of time. However once you come home, it'll be excited to see you, even running up to you giving it a small boost in happiness.
Glutton - This dino eats a lot. For this he gains some extra Health Points
Protective - This dino is fiercely loyal to the owner. Will always do as commanded, and will slaughter anything that gets too near to his owner.

And I get a trike. His personality traits are Sloth, Big Boned, and Picky.
Sloth - This dino is extremly lazy. You may have trouble getting it to do what you want it to do.
Big Boned - This Dino can pack a strong punch.
Picky - This dino only eats certain things, will refuse to touch anything else.

I don't know about this. It's a solid idea for a few dinos but as soon as you get alot of them, it's gonna end with alot of sad/angry dinos that refuse to do anything.

I agree with Ape, maybe have an option to enable/disable emotions?
Or maybe make it to where 1-3 of the dinosaurs can be enabled to have emotions, for the ones you really like/attatched to. (E.x. First raptor)

I really like your idea. +1

EDIT: If this happens I'm so getting a grumpy dodo bird, so cute. Dodo don't care.

Angry would most likely give a boost to attack however. And really the idea is to only have as many dinos as you can care for. If you want more dinos, you might have to join a tribe to take care of them all.
