Wall height to keep out spinos?
Does anyone have experience with building a wall high enough to keep out wild spinos? I'm getting conflicting answers, some people say 2, 3, 4, and even 5. Currently my tribe's outer wall is two walls high and they walk right over it. Spikes at the base of the wall ended up acting as a stepping stool for them (and other dinos such as carnos as well) so we have demolished them for the time being but they still step over the wall easily.

3 if you're on flat land. More if on a hill
Source: I have 2 spinos

yeh at least 3 for flat areas. maybe try taming one and test it out? easier said than done though if your're low level

Thank you for the advice! We will add another wall up and hopefully they wont walk over it. We are on the shore of a river so it is pretty flat.

4 to be sure, they tend to stand up on two legs to try and climb over

Mine are 4 high - stone on flat ground - and a spino went through them today and murdered my trike. At first I thought it was lag, but then my trike was killed. I have spikes at the base. I live in a spawning area and usually I just ride out and murder them, so far I haven't logged into any losses, but I'm building my walls 5 high just to be sure now. They are b-st--ds!

I've ended up building all my base walls 4 and 5 high alternating (4,5,4,5) and that has stopped anything from getting over granted there is nothing for a dino to step up on like a large rock or low height building right outside the wall. The build does the same job as a 5 high wall with 50% less resources. ;)

Why wouldn't you have just built another row of walls up and then you'd know your answer. This was like asking "I put a basketball net and I can still touch it. How much higher should I put the net so I can't touch it?" Dumb.

This post was from months ago, I just saw I got a reply. I was new to the game and just wanted some advice before spending the time and materials to test it myself and put my dinos at risk thinking they were safe. Why test something if someone has already done the test and willing to share their expereince? Work smarter, not harder!

Might as well do 4 to keep out a rex.

I've seen brontos walk over 4 high. 5 to be relatively sure, but I said screw this nonsense and built 10 high. Nothing walks over that, carnivores (except maybe eventually gigantosaurus) can't even SEE over that.
