um... yeah... EST is a STANDARIZED timezone. EDT is a AMERICAN Standard time.
Not to mention its ETA not a THIS IS WHEN IT WILL BE OUT.
Get over it, and learn how to google, as google WILL give you EST time so you can "Figure" it out with a tiny bit of math on your part.
Yeah... no. That's not how it works buddy...
I understand the delays, the delays are fine, as they are for a very good reason, they have noticed bugs in the patches and need to fix them before they release it (want another wipe anyone?)
But completely using the incorrect time is just stupid, and easily fixed. If a bus is late by an hour due to traffic, it has a reason but is still annoying. If the bus timetable is completely wrong so you turn up an hour late, that is a big mistake which could easily be fixed.
Yeah... um... yes it is.
Please learn to read.............
They used the EDT time, but labeled it as EST, always have. So the time they say the server is going down on the server browser is one hour off, which causes many people in my server to log in and start doing things thinking they have another hour and a half left, when instead they only have 30mins.
I now wish i had posted this on reddit instead... Seems like there are only illiterate children on the steam forums..
And you just proved yourself wrong again. Congratulations.
EDT is NOT an American standardized timezone. It is an International timezone used in several countries (by your own admission) just like EST is. The difference being summertime, not summertime.
EST is NEVER the correct timezone on the US West Coast during summertime. The only acceptable alternative to not using EDT or the UTC timezone is saying "Eastern"
And even ignoring all of those semantics, doesn't change the fact that saying EDT is wrong in the context, when the devs obviously mean the EDT time - which will keep messing up anyone trying to convert the timezones to their local time, because it was never correct in the first place.
You mean - In parts of Canada, Carib and two smaller Central American countries? Because the US East Coast is not currently observing EST in the first place...
EST time is giving correct time for me as they announced it so, dunno.
