Spino Vs Rex... which is better?

So im looking to hunt down a high level super pet. But what one is better the spino or the rex? Or is there anything else that is ever better? Dodo maybe?

It all depends on what one means by better.
Just asking is something is better , period, is rather banal and pointless.
But, I digress.

Better at what?

To keep it simple.
If going into the water as in diving in deep,
Spinosaur.
If for skittering around fairly fast on a big dino without stomping and shaking the ground
Spinosaur. (note the classifier statement, stomping and shaking )

If for rampaging, killing, using for mule pack animal up and down mountains, stomping over big
boulders, stomping over trees, stomping in general, and being bad ass overall?

T-Rex. hands down

Oh, and the giant sized doo doo , and for seeing from a vantage point of height, almost for got those. Oh , and being able to dismount without actually getting off the dino and shooting
something with your bow or using a spyglass while on the T-Rex

Spino has much better stamina consumption than the trex.
Also regens faster.

the rex was not a scavenger! This is wrong and from the year 2000! He was an active hunter! And he hase good eyes , eyes better like human eyes! Thats confirmed! And he hase the strongest bite of any land predators.Spinosaurus wars a fish hunter he hunts big fish and swimm like a duck. He was very long and strong but not stronger than a rex.The giganotosaurus hase very very bad eyes , he can only see forwart,his bite was weaker than a rex and a Spinosaurus to. But his tees was sharper than T-rex tees

Prefer the spino for the utility. Also pretty easy to max out a spino by doing laps of death island, ♥♥♥♥ respawns in about the time it takes you to chomp everything and if you see a mega off the shore you can go chomp that too. Mega's are good levels.

I tamed a level 84 spino, taming effic boosted it to 112, took 4 hours to max her out at 152.

My poor rex was only level 75 and was tamed before the efficency chanes =( Need to get a new one!

You just destroyed the main knowledge jurrassick park gave us, that the Rex is blind and if you stand still you would survive. Now when a rex will arrive in Milan i won't know how to act due to your post and probably i'll get eaten. Thanks a lot!!!!

About the topoc Spino and Rex are both amazing, would be cool to see them fight in game when in the wild, but it seems they ignore eachothers.

The T-Rex can go through the Dino Gate, while the Spino can't (you need Behemoth Gate for the Spino).

Argentavis... kill player on Trex/Spino and then just bite his pet in his back. My Argentavis have over 4k HP and over 750% damage, so I can tank a lot of sniper shots and if player have parachutes... I will just drop him 3x, 4x, .... does not matter actually, they are pretty heavy, so players have mostly max 2-3 or 0.

If I should decide Trex vs Spino, than Spino. From my experience, he obtain more HP points per level. He also does not burn his stamina that freaky fast as Trex, so you have more points which you can invest into Melee Damage. He is also probably faster when run and better swimmer, and it is strategic bonus when you are attacking islands or fight near water (you can just retreat into it, and they can not hunt you down). You can also hunt Megalodons for high XP and lot of prime meat.

So Argentavis > Spino > Trex > Saber.

The tyrannosaurus was vastly exaggerated as a predator...it was a scavenger...Allosaurus and Giganotosaurus were both the true dominant species of the dino land based world. One google search allowed me to find that both Predator X (a pliosaurus discovered in 2012) and Megalodon had more powerful bite than T-Rex .Respectively 15 and 18 tones, 4 and 5 times more powerful in fact.

I prefer Spino BUT in the current Meta..... go trex. You can hide them in your cave over night. You cant even hide a Stego in the cave let alone a Spino.

And dont choose spino for underwater pearls harvesting . As soon s you dismount spino underwater it shoots bak up to the surface rather use him to kill megalodons

Thanks for all the responses! It certainly has given me a lot to think about. still not completely sure on which one to choose yet but i think im swinging towards a spino, simply caus of the stamina being better and low stamina is horrible to deal with haha
