Everything deleted in caves 183.3

Well, i'm playing on the-EU-OfficialServer93 and i can tell you that this "fix" removed everything in the caves including: lockers(tons of materials), fabricator, foundations,pipes,electric cables, turrets etc. Hopefully u will revert the changes, since it screwed many people over on the PvPservers, who basically lost everything!

Happened to a lot of people. Our server also had everything wiped from the caves - With the exception of one or two fenceposts. "Angry Joe Show ARK!" would be the server name.

Not to go off topic, but Angry Joe was the reason I got this game! I tried finding the server he said he was going to get for the game, but I couldn't find it and have since set up shop elsewhere. Glad to hear he got a home for the army!

Hmm, well nevermind. Just logged on to check my cave and everything's intact. Guess underwater caves don't count.

Honestly, cave building has just about ruined this game for us. A group of greifers have taken up residence in one of the largest of the caves and holed themselves up behind 17 dino gates. The cave is large enought for them to keep T-rexes, birds, and whatever else they need. They come out daily to kill everyone's animals, kill all players on sight and flatten bases. There aren't any more large tribes to stand against them at this point as the server has become so demoralized. Not to mention the ESP and Aimbotting. And no, that's not a salty assumption on our part, they brag about it in chat. We managed to get one of their members banned only for them to return the next day with a new account.

There is simply no contest against a group of people who can devote all of their time and resources to weaponry in a cave compared to building a base on the surface.

The burnout is real -.-

Yall are idiots, there is no end game being blocked, its pvp, blow the door down idiots. Anything u can find inside a cave except an artifact wich you dont need trust me.....

I had the same issue on my private server... An absolute ♥♥♥♥-ton of stuff deleted from the base my flatmate and I built inside a cave :( This is my first and only complaint about this game - the patch obviously wasn't tested for anything inside a cave. Now we have to start again :(

Can we on servers who it hasn't affected (patch hasn't dropped yet) rebuild our bases in confidence it won't be destroyed?

We literally tore down everything as soon as we hear, and have been waiting many hours to play the game..

I've experienced the same on an private server, our metal and stone base was gone and we spawned dead. Friend told me, thought he got raided.

Thought we lost everything, but we didn't, still had the dinos. Weird bug. We rebuilt our base and used the ton of hide from dinos to get armor and stuff but yeah RIP metal, oil and all that stuff.

Oh well I guess, ♥♥♥♥ happens.

This also happened on a private server I play on with some friends, and we lost... well... nearly everything. I know there isn't really much that you can do about that, but it's happening all over. Working on rebuilding a base elsewhere, and all the stuff that was outside of the cave was safe and intact. Having a bronto, ankylo, and some carnos to help with resource gathering helps the rebuild a lot.

This happened on our private server too. Had a great base in the Southeast caves, tons of gear, materials etc, all vanished but new stuff can be built and seems to survive server restarts. If I hadn't noticed this at 1AM I might have restored a backup instead of spending hours re-establishing a basic base just outside the caves. We do these silly things when tired. Whilst I'm sad that the stuff has disappeared and is unlikely to be recoverable, I would like to know whether on a PvPvE private server, this is likely to happen again?
