hehehe, crops is ♥♥♥♥. so longgggggggg. needs a buff IMO. but theres not much you can do after seeding, giving water and feeding poop :)
Keep an eye on the water level for the plot and be sure there is ALWAYS poop in there to keep the fertilized numbers (the brown ones) up. It is more practical to make an irrigation system and setting up a compost bin system for fertilizer. This will lessen the need to monitor the water all the time and keeping fertilization up. Fert will give you WAY more in fert points than using poop of any kind and size.
I recommend building a supply of fertilizer before taking on crop growing again since it may take some time to create it in the bin.
If it isn't working still, well... I have nothing else to recommend to help.
literally 5 hours later i have 2 and a half stacks of both . i'm on the north western coast.
farming just got a massive boost. it's also very simple. make sure you use actual fertilizer rather than clumps of dinosaur turds
I wish composting didn't take as long as the farming. It's silly.
Only issue with that is you can't get access to the farming only crops like savoroots, citronals, etc. for buff foods. Lazarus Chowder is like mandatory for deep sea exploration too.
just get a dung beetle and give it some turds, put it on roaming, and youve got more fert than you know what to do with
