Fast Taming - why does the wiki still claim force feeding works?
Why does the wiki still claim that the force feeding method works? This method has been, quite thoroughly, debunked. It doesnt make your dino tame faster. The only way to starve a dino is to just let it sit there. You will still lose a tick of taming effectiveness for every time it eats - whether it takes 2 mins for it to eat, or 1 second to eat, the result is the same.

Why does the wiki still say that there is a "fast" taming method then? am I missing something? Or are the people that write on the wiki delusional and just think that because it goes really fast after they are strarved (by just sitting around since the stimberries do nothing for that) that the force feeding DURP must have worked?

Wikis are edited by the community generally right? Probably just means misinformation was posted and nobody has bothered to change it yet.

a wiki is created by people, and not every wiki is updated regularly....

right...and im asking why people still think this works. it only took me 5 mins of trying the force feeding method to see it doesnt work, and that made me go to google, and i discovered others who did testing with it and said it doesnt work. my question is, is there a different method than the force feeding method? or are these people just actually misinformed?

it just seems odd that such a large group of people still think this works. it almost makes me that it truly does work and im misinformed, if so many people think it works...almost

I dont think they do think it still works. Just too lazy to change it.

Mind copy/paste the exact wiki text you looked at?
Apart from choosing the appropriate food for the tame you can only speed up the process by using prime meat or cooked prime on carnies.

prime meat is the only thing to increase it. cooked meat is worse than raw meat. it goes prime meat > raw meat > prime meat jerky > cooked meat/meat jerky (not sure which is worse, i just know not to use them because theyre bad for taming)

you only want to use jerky and cooked meat after a dino is tamed

Nono I was saying cooked prime meat. It is still 2 times as effective as normal raw meat.

Yea..no..nearly.
prime meat > cooked prime meat > raw meat
Never use jerky please, your dino doesnt like it, neither while taming nor after.

oh thats right, i do remember reading that. it still expires pretty fast though right? Ive never tried to cook it. i just go on a hunting spree whenever i knock out a carno and make sure i get fresh stuff

45 min on player, I _believe_ 3 times that on dino and another 3 times that in PB.

Not sure on the factors here, but its definetly viable to farm up cooked prime as a "baseline" for taming. They even stack to 100.

Force feeding works only when you whant heal your dino fast, and you have too much meat.
