Someone should totally make a mod, or find some way to modify the files, to change the Rex roar into the one from Jurassic Park, because I, and I'm sure loads of others, really love that sound effect! :D

Well as long as the mod is not monetized than there is a good chance it wouldnt be crushed.

Unfortunately, that would be copywright infringement, i believe those audio files are indeed copywritten and thusly cant be used freely. I think the ones theyve used in game are adequate though, sounds good to me.

When the dev kit gains full power. Then I might be able to do make that mod. Depends on how UE4 works though.

yeah that would be better, and why not almost all games with T rex in it have the rex make the JP sound, so why not in here

If it is a mod made by someone with no connection to the people making money then it isn't copyright infringement, right?

It would still be using their property without their permission in a way that I don't think would fall under fair use, but it would be very unlikely they'd go after someone for a non-monetized mod that uses one of their dinosaur sound files.

I doubt that roar "mix" is trademarked, the Primal Carnage T-Rex roar is almost the same as the JP roar and it's still there as is. Ivory Templar displays some nice ignorance here.

I hope that the current sound was more just a placeholder to test the feature of roaring and whatnot and that we'll get a nice robust sound with more appropriate falloff and whatnot.

I don't know if anyone of you watched the series "Dinosaur Planet", but the daspletosaurus in it had some cool roars in my opinion., especially the 3th and 6th one.
