I first tamed one of these things which took me over 2 hours. Anyway I wish there was a way I could tell them to fly back to a spawn point such as my base. Whenever I tame one it follows me and does not land just flies around me forever. I have to wait for it to fly against a rock, tree or building so i can tell it to settle down. Stupid thing lands but if I switch it back to follow same thing. So if I go anywhere I land and noticed that if i press E to dismount/mount it will just do what it does best and fly around my player in circles this is annoying cause in fighting if I get attacked he will fly around me and what is attacking me while i attack it and then i often end up hitting and killing it. So if I tell it to not follow me and to not attack what attacks me to keep it out of the road well then if i climb a mountain and leave it at the bottom it will just sit there and get itself slaughters wont defend itself though id prefer an option that if he gets attacked he will fly off to base. If that could be done and have an ability to call them back say with a flare that would be the coolest thing ever I could then keep my flying transport alive and well.

Lastly I noticed if I jump off the stupid thing it will land right beside me straight away.

I just lost Fellbeast V3(looks the tiny bit like the creatures the ring wraiths fly in lord of the rings)

Fellbeast V1 somehow when I was flying over a cave he slowed down and the game said I was in a tight space to which he somehow fell to the ground and died and my player fell to his death.

Fellbeast V2 decided while helping me attack an enemy that he would turn into a fish and try drink water to which he suffocated and died.

So thats 3 of the retarded things that I have lost. They all had mounts.

So far love the game if you guys can fix these wee things and consider my idea I think it would be cool. I don't think it would be game breaking you could still lose your Pteranodon if you dont tell it to go back to a spawn point aka your base. taking a flare gun and using a flare to call it in again would be epic.

Amazing game Studio Wildcard play it every day so far.

You need to learn how to control your dinos. Use the radial menus to turn following or aggressive behaviors off.

yeah, the icon looking like a TIRED guy taking a rest? you need to keep an eye on your flying dinos stamina and land before it goes all the way down, because it slows to a stop then kicks you off it if you don't

New hotkey they added, all pets passive, default ;

It will make flyers stop moving around when you dismount, unless you have them set to follow. Also use spacebar to dismount instead of E, it makes the bird land.

It's a pretty dumb bird but Space to dismount then U will always make him stop in his tracks. When you have him on follow, he makes running passes by your head so you can look up, hit E and mount him as he is flying by. It's a really cool feature but it gets really annoying when you're farming rocks or fiber and he keeps flying into your view where you mount him instead of picking up the rock you were going for. Sometimes he will even stop and hover right above the resources you were going to reach for like he's trying to troll you. And if you punch him or he gets attacked and you start sprinting, and he is following you, he will start doing super-sonic elliptical orbits around you. Pretty awkward bird.

Ugh yes i know. Until I was able to get an Argent I hauled a second Ptera to follow my main flyer to help me collect metal. If its following you it will non stop fly all over you and I end up hitting it instead of the metal so I make it follow my main Ptera but I cant jump up and reach the dam hauler cause its hovering higher above my Ptera mount. I keep a saddle off the hauler to give me 20 more extra weight for metal so if i want to land it, I have to take my saddle off, put it on the hauler, land it then take the saddle off and put it back on my main. Devs know about their 'spazzy' nature so maybe something will change in the future, I hope. Best thing was the day I got my first Argent :D
