Are bookshelves not secure?

All of my blueprints and recipes are gone. Not sure if they were stolen or what. I was putting some fence up and noticed a couple people on birds flying around my house but I didnt see them dismount. Later I went to the bookshelf to put another blueprint in and thats when I discovered them missing. I set a pin code on it now but I thought all containers were secure?

If there wasn't a pin code on it before it was not secure. If it doesn't have a pin, whether pvp or pve, it can be opened by anyone.

Its a damn shame people are like that. not much worse than a thief or a liar. I hope the a$$holes rot in effen hell

I play on an official PvE server, and recently someone came into my base on a flyer and tried to open every door / loot every crop plot.

Thankfully all of our stuff are pin-locked and the crop plots are no longer loot-able by outsiders.

Certain containers like the preserving bin, book shelf and the crafting benches / forge need to be behind a pin-locked door, unfortunately.
