How do I reset the world on my private server?
As title says I'm looking to reset the world on my private server.

I want a fresh start with all the buildings gone.

I haven't been able to find anything on it.

Any tips?

You wanting to save character progression?

\ShooterGame\Saved\SavedArks is the folder that holds your save info.
.arktribe files hold info on tribes. Save those if you want tribes preserved.
.arkprofile files hold the player progression. Each file is named after a SteamID. Save those if you want player progression saved.
.ark files are the map info, structures, etc.

If you want a full wipe, just delete everything in there. If you want to preserve character or tribe info, keep those files. I would make a backup of that whole folder, then delete pieces and make sure it starts back up and regenerates the world fine. Once you're happy with the reset you can delete the backup.

Note, if you delete \ShooterGame\Saved you also lose server config info in the .ini files. So you probably want to delete either the SavedArks folder on it's own, or individual files within that folder.

You probably need to link up with support from survivalservers. I have personally never used them but its probably as simple as asking whomever oversees it to delete the saved ark.

Ah yeah. Ditto reaching out to their support if you dont' have access to the server files.

Also note that deleting your save.ark folder does NOT remove bases, I found this out the hard way. For some reason or another, the bases are stored else where.

If you FTP in your will see the Saved### folder on that hosting server. You just need to delete the files in it.

This worked for my server as I was looking for an answer to this question myself. So thank you!

(I'm using Ark Server Manager on my same PC so I have the directory)

As a heads up for anyone who also uses ASM make sure you're deleting the files from the correct server folder in the ASM folder not in the regular ARK directory.

(I have four servers it was server 4 I wanted to reset so directory for me was [[ C:\.... \ArkServerManager\Server Data Files\Servers\Server4\ShooterGame\Saved\SavedArks ]]

I kept the SavedArks folder but deleted all the content. The world & all player data was all successfully erased for me, even base data.
