Trying to find a SARCO?

I'm playing local play and for the life of me I cannot find a Sarco to tame.
I'm traveling on my pterdon (whats it called lol) and am following the riverways and have not seen any in days of travel along the water :(
Any tips on how to find these guys? Am I doing something wrong or am I just unlucky?

I dont see them very often either so I think I got lucky taming one when one came near my base on the north east shores. After that I took him for a ride and saw a couple more in and around the northern coast line. So try there and happy hunting!

Always near water our base is at the hidden lake and outside the canyon you awlays can find some if you go towards the ocean. We got 2 for out tripe

not worth the effort. there current ai is glitchy as heck mine has 1.1k% dmg 7k HP & 325 Speed 1k sprint & it bugs like mad even my fresh one just has attacking issues....might just be my mounting them idk....they seem to have tiny attack range. anyhow near green tower is best spot i findem at. theres often 1-3 in river/around & up the waterfalls tends to have a few

South end of the ark, where the rock island is and the islan with the stone arch, in that rivers i got most sarcos so far.
Just clean out sorounding spawn, it will eventually come.

That is because most people build on the riverbed making them spawn less and less. Clear out any old thatched buildings etc. Should see some more respawn.

we found most sarcos on the westcoast near 60,15; south west on the river near green obelisk; south east coast, east river at 55,80 and north east coast

The problem is that the freaking spinos have same spawn locations and kill them.

You have a good point. They need to be non-hostile to each other imo.

There are 4 spawns near our base , we see them all the time and tell in chat if someone wants to tame them and we dont kill them. Where are our base is? You know the secret valley lake thats close to monster island? Around these places you can find sarcos. They are generally at the shores or swimming in the sea.

I found one all and am taming her as I write this. Was along the west coast.
Now just guarding and hoping. Only problem now is I have my flyer with me, no saddle for the Sarco and my home base is near the east coast -_-
It should be an interesting trip back.

Thanks, I was just flying around a bit while taming him and noticed an inlet of water around the corner from the west coastline.
There are 3 more there. This looks like the spot to be to get them. Water is clear and shallow so they are easily spotted.
