You must put down a fence foundation first before it will let you put a wall down.
dino gate check!
walls ?? Can't snap
how do I make walls around this dino door so I can make a dino pen???
alternately, you could place foundations, stick the dino door on the foundation and build walls just like you would a hut.
itll look like a small strip of wood you place on the floor, and you can Snap a wall to this once placed.
GL
I am not sure if this is intended, but its actually cheaper than using walls. Here are the costs:
Dino gate = 2 wide x 4 tall = 8 wall sections + 2 fence foundations
Dino gate & door costs:
200 wood
50 thatch
35 fiber
40 stone
8 walls & 2 fence foundation costs:
340 wood
16 thatch
11 fiber
Yes gates are slightly more expensive in fiber and thatch, but the 140 wood saved is huge (until you have a mammoth, who can't fit in the gate coincidentally)
The added bonus is that the gates look much cooler painted and you can enter your pen from any direction you approach if you want.
well, now this just changes my plans entirely.
im going to have to rethink everything.
but, good idea; I like it. =)
