clear near area first, set my buddys little bit away.
shoot 1 tranq arrow for pulling and spin argen with my amazing step.
almost use 50+ bloodpack and finally knock him down at soul match.
Use your brain.
i get most dinos with 50-70% life until he is unconscious but this bird ♥♥♥♥ me up
with arrow, flyer melt down even tranq arrow. (except tamed one)
wild argen's hp cant stand until topor go.
currently best way is fist + bloodpack.
74, 87? i never see such a high level dino yet.
maybe different at higher level.
The reduced it to 4x dmg, it hasn't been 6x dmg in over a week now.
We never really had this problem until we cranked up the difficulty offset and started dealing with higher level dinos, who often have insane torpor and require goofy amounts of tranq arrows. Dino stat balance is random so you could have a dino with a stupid huge food bar (which sucks) and weak combat stats, and/or one with lowish health but insane torpor, and with some dinos, the health growth vs torpor growth is whack regardless of randomness (in that their health will be low relative to their torpor, making taming without killing tricky/impossible).
Taming argentavis (and sabers it seems) is often a matter of luck - find one that hasn't damaged itself fighting already, and hope RNGesus is in your favor and they have an above average health along with a lower than average torpor pool. If you get one that's high torpor you'll likely kill it.
"lol, shoot with tranq.... wait 5 seconds, shoot with tranq... wait 5 seconds, repeat... it's easy"
I would imagine most of us understand how to tranq dinos. Waiting 3/5 secs between shots has zero relevance to high level dinos dying from tranq arrow damage.
One possible solution would be kiting such dinos thru tranq trap(s). We haven't tried it and it's not something I want to have to do but it could work to soften them up before tranq arrows.
And never shot a flying dino you want to tame in the head.
