Tamed dinos appear to have infinite stamina when not being ridden. For example, if you have two raptor mounts, have one follow you and switch to the other when you run out of stamina on the first. You can basically sprint forever minus some brief downtime when switching mounts.
When riding them, they go nowhere fast... but they're quite safe. They can solo carno's and spino's with ease. It's why I keep mine around.
That being said: Another friend of mine trained up the stamina on his trike a ton, and he loves riding his around... so... if you're into that, go for it.
As far as wood goes: Mammoth seems to do best. Not even the bronto seems to do wood well.
Makes sense, I'm a fatass and I can't run far :D
Also, thanks to Paladin for info and what a trike can fight :)
