Can someone explain how cooking correctly works?
I'm trying to make Lazarus Chowder.
~Using a cooking pot I've tried placing in
9 Cooked Meat
5 Savoroot
5 Longrass
10 Mejoberries
2 Nacrotics

Lit with Sparkpowder and wait 1 min.
Nothing happens and everything just spoils. I've tried the same thing but removing Sparkpowder as soon as I lite it. Nothing.

I've also tried adding extras of each, nothing happens. It just sits in there expiring.

I'm at a loss.

Do you have the recipe for it? Have you put the recipe in the pot? Not sure if it makes a difference.

You need the cook pot and it takes more like 6 minutes or so (about 3 wood worth of time) other then that you hve it correct.

You need a recipe... and water...
saice Jun 29, 2015 @ 8:49pm
Oh an dont forget you need a water skin full of water
Zoobo Jun 29, 2015 @ 8:49pm
Don't you also need to have a full waterskin or water bottle?

It takes 5-6 minutes to cook.
Put more Savoroot and Longrass into it as them spoil really fast.

your ingridients are right but you also need to put a water skin thats at least 25% full into the cooking pot

AH THANKS EVERYONE!

I was using wiki and it said nothing about needing a waterskin.
I finally got it to cook now. :D

actually at the top of the recipe page in the wiki it DOES say you need a water skin, and I am almost 100% sure that the actual ingame RECIPE says that as well... but yea

Yeah they spoil STUPIDLY fast. I ended up building a cook pot right next to my farm and only cook 1 at a time to avoid spoilage wasting things.

I mean really I pull it out of the ground and it spoils before I can get it across my compound to the crafting area I set up. Its like ~2 minutes I think.

To help you out you don't need the recipe you just have to know it and also it takes ~ 3 logs burnt to make 1 lazarus chowder and also make sure you have everything in the pot so i assume it takes around 3 minutes to make one which does include atleast 1 25% full waterskin/jar.

It took me 1 min to cook using Sparkpowder, but waterskin was the only thing I was missing.
Didn't need a recipe.
