So now I wonder do I really spend my last few points on the metal pipes etc that I really need for my cliffside base or do I just keep the points in case of new saddles or keep spending hours trying to find my dinos when they vanish on me or I forget to set my petra on follow so loose it when attacked etc! So now I have to go back to get the compass and gps so I can get the transponder as I am sick of spending hours of in game time trying to find lost dinos or when I die my gear! But it means I am totally out of points if they bring out new saddles etc!
So how does that work then?? You cant say join a tribe when single player is on your own and you never intend to play multiplayer as you just dont want to deal with the griefing or having your work destroyed etc! So really for us single players it does come down to us litterally running out of points since we dont have tribe mates to swap between for our engram points and to share different items etc with to save points!
Just my opinon on this! But I personally am hoping we get a level cap increase etc so I can go and have points saved for when new saddles are released etc as its no fun when you cant use the new items in single player cause you have spent all your current points on getting the necessities you need in the game since you just dont get the drops etc to get teh required blueprints so to comprimise you spend the points on the saddles just so you can use the mount etc or else you would never get anywhere in the game cause you dont have the saddles you cant get to teh drops that have the blueprints for the saddles so you are stuck with dinos you cant use cause you dont have saddles!
But yes just my thoughts on it all
Check it out, maybe that would be something that would let you do what you want, its the second idea at the bottom btw.

That is exactly what I have done and I will have no engram points left! (well once I hit level 71 if I go with everything I planned so far) So its not totally applicable in my situation to say that am still tossing up weather to go with the things I need or instead skip metal piping and just go with teh stone pipes I have instead and just replace them when needed! As that will save quite a few points! But yes will think about it then decide what I stick with or not
And as I said the join a tribe comment not applicable to single player! Wish people wouldnt say that when some of us have no interest in joining a tribe or playing multiplayer
Lol getting to lvl 65 is just getting started in this game I got 2 65 in 3 day had more points than that left but trust me they wont last long .Farming bluey's is good of course and can only help but as so much has been added an increse in level cap is only fair .Wont do you any harm .tust me.
+1 I don't think the level cap increase would do any harm either :)
But I have worked out how to have 87 points left for a few future saddles but it means forgetting about metal piping and sticking wiht the stone piping and repairing it every time I need too as stone will fit in with the stone and seperate wood buildings I am doing for my dino place :)
Like I had already built a generator from a found blueprint. But to unlock straight electrical cable you need to learn electric generator.
So even after finding the blueprint from a drop I STILL had to learn the ****** engram!!!
It is probably different for those of you who play in tribes to single player people! As we dont have tribe members to distribute different items between and hence need to allocate all the points ourselves to have the necessary items!
The game forces you to invest points into ♥♥♥♥ you would never even use.
I have been putting points in toughness because at that time I was farming metal at a mountain and wanted to handle the cold better.
Then I tried to farm oil and found out how low my oxygen was despite eating that food that slows down oxygen usage.
But I still have a few more levels before reaching max, so I should have enough points for oxygen.
However, it is entirely possible for me to overlevel and not find out I need to save for oxygen. That's why some form of reset is needed. Even making it a 1 time deal is enoughn
I had been 65 for over a week at the time. I'm currently 70 on another server with over 800 engram points left. Only 3 tribe members.
As I said already, don't learn things until you need them. Blueprints are stupidly easy to find. I found over 25 blueprints yesterday alone, just grabbing supply drops as I flew passed them.
Edit: They also almost always have increased the level cap when adding new engrams to learn.
I have only put points into things I need and I have managed to possibly have 94 points left over by getting rid of some other things I was going to get! Otherwise its not nearly so easy for single players to keep so many points like those who play in tribes in multiplayer do! And I for one will never be playing multiplayer in this game due to all the bad things that happen with griefing, destroying peoples hard work, raiding, pvp I hate all those things and would much rather play on my own! As at least then I can enjoy the game how I want too not have people ruining things for me!
If you're playing single player only, you can set the engrams up however you want...
Edit: You also may want to look into an unofficial PvE server. They generally don't have those problems.
