How to build the exterior walls without reference to the foundation?

Fence foundations is what you use for that.

Building with fence foundation is feature that needs improvement. I hear from my friend the indicator can dislocate into the surface making it invisible and getting the intended alignment is very tricky obviously when building in the blind...
We have build walls using real foundations so far. But it's hard to find a place that allows you to cover a significant area using foundations, but you cannot snap them when the height difference gets too high. You should be able to snap them 1 step higher/deeper.

ha, I´d like your problems.... for lack of stone foundations at this point, and also lack of motivation to grind up metal foundations for ALL the base, I put stone walls on stone fence foundations around all the base, just 1 wall high. These cover the vulnerable wood foundations behind, and also look nice. However, you´re going through hell attempting to get the actually straight so after 2 walls there isn't a 2 meter gap between your building and the "cover" wall.
