When they changed it back, they only gave actual items a very small % chance to drop.

I personally think that having a tendency to get blueprints is more OP vs. getting a few crafted items and no blueprints. Sure, the blueprints allow you to craft the item yourself and that takes resources, but if you get the item and are unable to craft it you might protect it a bit more.

The exception to the blueprints would be weapons and armor, though (the ones that are upgraded versions of the items; ramshackle, journeyman etc). But the higher blueprints don't really seem feasible at the moment due to the amount of material scaling that doesn't let you put all of the items into the smithy (an example) because it requires so many items it can't fit.

I think they should make the structure blueprints a very rare drop (like the smithy blueprint, building blueprints like metal foundation etc). I say this because I easily got almost all of the metal building blueprints from supply drops (just missing a metal window, trapdoor frame, and behemoth gateway).

Just my opinion though.

I think its just boring the suppy drops now, not even worth going for just get the same blueprints over and over, once you hit max lvl you really have all the main stuff that high lvl supply drops anyway so its pointless :/

I like farming supply drops. You take risk leaving to go chase them, if playing in MP you take the risk of having to compete with someone for it and more often than not you get a Compass or Water bottle BP. However if you stick with it, there can be good stuff in there. I found a Mammoth Saddle BP in a purple beacon last night.

be sure to look closely at those blueprints, many of them that make tools/saddles/weapons make a higher quality version of them with better armor/durability/damage so yea I never turn up my nose at a blueprint. I only wish they still had the blueprints for building parts that reduced the required materiels

thats something they should have to use less items to make materiels

you can repair items, even if you dont have the engram/blueprint

Used to have it, back when I first started I had blueprints for wood foundations that used like 20 less wood.
