Where to find Raptors?

Any recommended area where raptor wonder about?

I had some chewing on my face last night in the southern area of the map, a bit inland.

Forests and mountains. I literally killed entire packs (4-12, yes, TWELVE) raptors at a time on my beast of a Carno.

Raptors like to hang out and ambush prey near the rivers, streams, and inland lakes. But be careful, they will ambush you too while you're trying to tame stuff, and there are also a lot of other nasties there as well (including Spinos). Good luck :)

Not a guarantee though - I live right on a river, and I have yet to see a single Raptor after a week.

Wherever someone is trying to tame an herbivore, and the tame meter is almost done, and they get up to use the bathroom... they will find you.

Whenever your torch breaks while gathering in the field at night, and you realize you don't have enough fiber to repair it quickly, they will be there.

When you have a tamed one parked in front of a door and you _almost_ can make it through before its tail swipes you away from the doorway, you will find raptors.
