Message of the day questions

If anyone is familiar with the message of the day command line for the ini file, I was wondering how I get text to fill that box when you load into the game. I put in text but it always gets cut off. Is there a character limit? Thanks in advance.

Maybe you are using characters like an apostrophe which in some cases cause the text to be truncated?

AFAIK you cannot have multi-line MOTD texts. :(

Somebody posted a workaround like breaking lines using \n

[MessageOfTheDay]
Message="This is line 1\nThis is line 2\nThis is line 3\n..."

I tried that and it didn't work. After starting and joining my Server I just got one line of text and after watching in the ini file again I saw that he cut off all other text after \n ...

I got this method working, with one change - remove the quotations from the message.

Here's a screenshot of my settings file as well as the message it popped up:

It's black in the background because it was night at the time and I was indoors (haven't gotten dem fancy windows yet :P )

Edit: I haven't actually tested multiple \n characters in a row (for spacing purposes), but I imagine it would work as well.

Thanks Ravel, got it to work too with your tip.
I used 4 \n characters in a row and it works.
