Solo and Engrams
I'm playing solo on my local machine, however what disturbs me is the fact that I won't be able fully experience the game since I won't have enough engram points, even at max level.

Recommend a way for solo players to get more engram points. Maybe after hitting max level, solo players continue to gain "levels" which only provide engrams. I know blueprints are supposed to adress this but from my experience the air drops pretty much give you the same items right now.

There are bluepriints in the game. I use them in solo, it's fine.

Yea it sucks, I've used admin commands to get blueprints for few things (structures and what not) so it doesn't feel like cheating it in and i still gotta farm the materials.

They made all that stuff adjustable for dedicated servers. They're adding this in the 180 patch:

- New Server gameplay options exposed to the Host Game UI

I doubt that will be one of them, but perhaps they'll add a way to change it in local games at some point, if you can't already by editing some file I'm unaware of.

Use blueprints. At level 60 i had about 700 points left over because I did most of my stuff through blueprints. I basically spent points on structures, ammo, and any saddles I hadn't found yet and was too impatient to wait for. Armor, weapons, farming, etc all come from supply drops pretty abundantly

I just cheat and use cheatengine. Search for the ammount of current engrams and when you find it give yourself a bunch of points.

I mean, do this at the end, or something. Anyways, if you do, do this, there is a slight problem when they add new craftable items to the game, the ammount of points used will go into the negative. For me, I was at -800 engrams lol.

But ya, there are blueprints.

once maxed, you could use the console command to give all engrams.

I'd like too see a small amount of engrams dropping from the endgame bosses.

Only spend Engrams on the things you need early on and the things required for tier unlocks. Then farm beacons for BPs to fill in the rest. For example you can do ok if you stop at Hide Armor and get your actual chitin armor from beasts and chests instead of spending the points to make it. I haven't spent any points at all since unlocking the metal foundation and I'm level 38 now. I'm still desperate for a couple saddles and a couple odd things but I know if I just hold out and wait I will either find the saddles themselves or their BPs and not have to spend points on those. The idea is that I'll plan a more definitive path to the end-game items once they are unlocked and I have better visibility, and when I have more BPs to determine what I have to purchase. Hopefully that leaves plenty of points to get everything I want in the end. I've got 65 points in the bank right now at 38 so I think I should have plenty.

You'll need patience and the ability to farm beacons though (get a sabre or ptera mount). I strongly suggest not just cheating them in to see how they feel though. Waiting and working for the drops you need makes it feel worth it. Granting yourself everything through the command line just leaves you the feeling like you're dropping things into an editor and not really playing a game.

You can change the xp per level & engrams per level and even raise the level cap. The instructions to do it for a dedicated server are here:

You can do the same thing for solo games, it's just that the GameUserSettings.ini is in a slightly different place (I forget the exact path now, but it's not to different).

\ARK\ShooterGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor

But you should play through on default settings at least once or you're only cheating yourself in the end.
