I don't think it would be only a "guard dog". Hey, it's 5 meters long and almost 3 meters tall. I'd really like if the devs decide to add it into the game. It's like my favorite extinct animal

It is apparently related to modern day sheep/goats (hoofed animals) rather than dogs. Would be sweet to have in the game.

Diversity is a good thing though, would be nice to have so many different dino's in game that you really have to search for a species, and then especially a good looking or high level one.

IIRC we will already have Hyenadont and Dire Wolf, so it is highly doubtful that we will get any other 'canine' species in the game...

Hyenadont and Hyenas classification is
Order: Carnivora
Suborder: Feliformia
Family: Hyaenidae

Canines are:
Class: Mammalia
Order: Carnivora
Suborder: Caniformia
Family: Canidae

Cats like Tigers etc are:
Order: Carnivora
Suborder: Feliformia
Family: Felidae

As you can see Hyenas are grouped with cats at the suborder level.

Andrewsarchus is classified as being with Hippos and whales and dolphins etc at the suborder/clade level.

Andrewsarchus is much bigger than direwolf and hyenadont, and it would be mostly a scavenger, but quote fast and very strong. It could eat already dead animals or (rarely) large preys

Please, devs, I would really like to see it in the game. I know that you can't do everything the fans ask you, but please, consider my idea. Plus, I'm not the only one who wants it

I remember it from there as well - one of my favourites. Since I think it's earlier than direwolves, it would be even cooler. And heck, direwolves are boring compared to it. This one has stripes and eats turtles.
