Is the stegosaurus OP?
Well the other day I tamed a level 50 something Stego... it is now level 69. This stego has 500% Atk and 3.5k HP. It's actually kind of ridiculous. I raided someone with just the stego and killed his dinos rather quickly and only took a sliver of damage. There is a field near my house with many, many dinos in it... sometimes i just ride my stego to the field, jump off, punch a bunch of the animals, and wait for them to all surround my stego and then just unleash and get 10-20 kills in 5-10 seconds...

I don't know if I just have a stego with amazing stats and I'm just really lucky or if the stego is op. This seems kinda unfair. I feel like a stego shouldn't be able to do this.

You would be surprised how much stronger an Ankylo is (as far as herbivores with 500+ attack go). Still, tamed carnivores of the same level are just much stronger.

I've wondered... what are the perks of an Ankylo? I don't see much of a point of taming one.

Stegos perma AOE knockback is pretty brutal. Agreed. He also has very low stamina drain from attacks.

Yes and I forgot to mention he has 550 stamina.

Considering my trex thats only lvl 60 , has 5k health, 780 Stamina and 700% dmg , the stego is not that strong, especially because its very slow.

An Anko can mine rock/metal/(lots of flint) and berries. Is faster then a Stego, can have a really high hp, an melee. Can also be very fast in water. IMO of the Trike, Stego, an Anko I think I would take an Anko then a Stego myself and get more mileage out of them, an then only be using the Stego for cargo.

Ankylos are landscape destroyers. They literally flatten everything and they do it fast. They do everything a Stego can do and more and faster. It is a shame that they can't harvest stone though. I think a right click attack for stone instead of flint would be amazing (except if the devs have plans for a stone harvesting dino later on).

Pachycephalosaurus headbutt should gather stone when breaking rocks maybe?

If anything, considering its horrendous turning circle, its terribly low speed and overall clunkiness its kinda underpowered. There is nothing my stego does that the anklyo/carno/trike can do the same or better.

I dont know if this really works in PVP, but i never get hit a single time fighting mobs on my stego. The mobs just cant come close before they get knocked back again. If that works in PVP it doesnt really matter if enemy dino has better stats.

Until the guy gets off his dinosaur and just shoots you in the head because you cant dodge lol, btw you can bite the tail midswing.

With that movement speed, you're better off just loading up on picks.
