I'm planning a new cage that is larger and on an underwater area that stretches out from the coast for a few hundred feet before the drop off, so it wont take a ton of walls to build. I was thinking 15x15 and enough walls to breach the water. Eventually adding a behemoth gate. Seen someone do it and it seems to be working for them.
There are a few examples on the forums here and there - People building in the water.
i'll do a bigger one soon, because i need more room for the next one i will tame :)
If building from the surface, start with a foundation and build out with wooden ceilings (they act as floors too). Use a trapdoor for a hole you can jump into.
