Is there a log of all admin commands and chat logs for my server?

I want to be able to read chat that ive missed and any admin commands used. (ones that could crash server) Can i access this via RCON commands?

RCON command "getchat" return all global chat since last executing this command.
I have a little script that execute this RCON command, add current time to each line in chat and save into a file. Script is running every 1 minute as cron job.

Cheers ill remember that one, Do you know all the RCON commands? Im thinking about making a website and running a service that collects data and stores into a db, which is then used by website. I want people to able to use the chat from the website and view admin commands used ect.

There is incomplete list of RCON commands on wiki, but only few are useful for that purpose. Abouch chat from web, this won't work. You can only broadcast into game, not send message as specific user. also there is no way to get other than global chat via RCON now.

there may be usefull commands I don't know about though. many interesting are listed in ingame admin menu, but I was unable to find any documentation and I decided to not testing them after first one I randomly choose crashed my server.

some of them are, some are not. for example broadcast, saveworld, listplayers, getchat works via RCON (I am using them a lot in my scripts). commands like kickplayer, banplayer, unbanplayer, settimeofday, quit probably works too (I don't use them).
In this game, if you want to know anything about commands and how they works, you just have to try it, because there is no official comprehensive documentation.

I've been running a virtual machine with one of the 3rd party tools running on it an have that saving all the chat logs to my local network. Works fine but the tools are bit buggy so at some point I'm going to have to move to something bit more stable and reliable.

I am codding my own scripts, so if there is any bug (and there are so far), I can fix them myself.
So far it can't do much, but for me it's better than depending on tools I don't know much about.

Yeah the tools out there currently aren't any fun but as of yet I've not had chance to sit down and write something. It's like 3rd on my Ark server to do list so shouldnt be too far out

Hi, How intense are the Admin server logs? How much stuff do they actually show?
For example, do they show each time a wild dino is attacked but not killed? Or do they show when a dino is picked up by another dino?

I've never seen am Admin Server log before

What are you using with cron for the getchat command? I've been using mcrcon to script out things on our server however the getchat command never returns anything. Thanks.

You can download Ark admin remote rcon tool I use it works great you can run auto msgs's commands whatever needed. :)

Also saves all chat and commands from admins and players excet to a log file!
