Gigantopithecus prefers which berry?
i have read on the wiki that he/she likes mejoberries and some people say amarberries... Anyone have a definitive answer?

Yes, I am aware that kibble is best, but finding snake eggs is proving to be difficult at best.

Mejo.
When you walk up behind it to feed it, it says feed mejoberry to tame, at least I'm pretty sure it says that.

Yes it says that because you have it equipped, when you have an amarbeery it will say that ^^

I wondered about whether it said that because that was what I had in my o slot but couldn't test it because I had no other berries..

Ohh! I didn't even think about that.
Good point!

Unless something has changed, last time I looked at the DevKit the Mejo berries were the best for all herbivores.

I was told it was the only creature that preffered tintoberries rather than mehoberries. Don't know if true though...never succesfully tamed one.

A tribe member put a bunch of different berries in a Tamed Giganto, and the first one it ate was the amarberry.

I would say it is likely that Amar's may be the choice berry for them

While I am certainly NOT asking Devs to change anything, IF it were tamed using knockout then it would be simply a matter of putting a few of each in and see which it eats first.. Has anyone tamed one using berries and not lost taming effectiveness?

The logic with that is still unproven afaik. The last I knew is that the dino will eat whatever berry is first in it's inventory.

Mejos result in 0% taming effectivness for the Big Foot's. None of the berrys are any better it seems.

You need Boe Kibble. The hardest Kibble to obtain by far.

Based on this from the patch notes I think we can rule out amarberries

* After being successfully Tamed, Tamed Dinos will now bias towards consuming the least-nutritious food in their inventory (that is still edible by them). Thus for example a carnivore will eat all inferior Raw Meats before eating Prime Meat within its Inventory, making it more viable to store high quality food on your Dinos over lengthier periods of time for the long haul.
