You need hide, and at least one argo bird. fly to the tops of mountains and use a pickax on the shiney rocks. we have found that is the BEST place for metal. better than ocean. if you up the
weight you can get 200- 400 in one flight.
Look for mountains, like the Red Obelisk and th Volcano in the Center of the Island.
I always use 2 mounts 1 that can handle me fully loaded plus saddle and not be slowed to a crawl and one pack animal (flier).
Yeah. we usually try to keep several if not 5 argo birds as pack mules and just load them up in one go. you can get 2k ore and smelt it in a bunch of refinerys. However the argos suck at keeping long term. several spinos and a rex come along and eat them multiple times till we started building a mob of dinos...
anyone else have problems keeping their argos alive?
its worth the ability to fly away.
mountains have a lot of saborcats, they often run in packs. also mamoths. that and the argos all naturally agro on you. so.... i wouldn't recomend it w/o at least something big to defend you. i prefer a rex when i going by land. lol.
where can i find one
so first: dilo or dodo
then: trike for easy berries, parasaur, turtle
then start going more dangerous: raptor, argentavis, ect.
or find a big dino stuck on a tree.
then move on to more dangerous stuff, like trex, mammoth, sabors, ect.
ways around this are to kite dangerous dinos and shoot them repeatedly, climb a rock they cant, shoot from above them (cliff or air).
also kibble makes a difference for taming time and lvls
such as bridge or scructure on a deep river, building the building above the serface of the water. you need foundation/pillars built to the floor.
has anyone tried building cieling tiles under the water along the floor under where the bridge will be (snapped together somewhere) but not pillers in the middle/top?
like this
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
= =
* = =
^^^ = _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
^^^^^^^ = ^^^ = ^^^ =
_ celing
= support
^ groung
* Water lvl
(same design copied for other side of the river bank)
so there would be a lot of space in the middle but it still senses the pillers below water?
I know if you build a giant building w/4 walls the cieling has no problem stapping no matter how big it is, or at least i haven't had trouble at 7x7 or 8x8
Did i describe it good?
