How's this for conveyors: What if certain dino's could be trained to transport goods short distances all by themselves? One dimorphion might be able to take resource stacks from one box to another, add more dimorphions to increase efficiency. The limited weight acts as a balance for this system so u can't just have one carry ALL in one go, a few trips might be required. Not all dino's could be trained for this, only the smart and practicle ones. And I don't think that losing 5-10% is necessary if the process is balanced by time.
Plus you can make wild dinos attqck them.
"Survivor, DVS-Zunneh asks, “Can you explain the "elevator structures" a bit? Will they be able to lift say a spino, how far can they lift? We live in the volcano and would love to lift the few dinos that wont fit in.”
Answer:
You’ll build a vertical elevator track, and put an elevator platform on the track (one allowed per track). There will be 3 sizes of platforms, which determines how fast it will move up the track, and how much weight it can carry. Then you just move your dinos/players onto the elevator, activate it, and if it’s under the weight limit, up-or-down it goes. Yes, the largest platform size will be able to lift a Spino ;)"
Yeah the lift system is cool, but having a primitive conveyor system that has a built in loss of materials transported, say 5-10% determined by the value of the material (say crystals and obsidian might have more so that it discourages people to transport that) and also make it expensive and say 1 piece of conveyor belt would be the same length as a foundation, however it would not act like a foundation so it wouldn't block resource spawns. I don't know just a thought I've been rolling around in my head for a while now. But eagle_1980 has a point regarding the technology to dinos balance which makes alot of sense too.
