How long does it take for a rex to starve?
I am curious, how long does it take for a t-rex to starve to death? This one area has been abandoned for a while and I am planning on building my base there, I lured their neutral dinos away but two passive rexes are sitting smack dab in the middle. I haven't managed to find anything big to eat them yet, and I jus tawnt them gone. Any suggestions? It's on PVE so I can't attack them.

Depends on their food stat.
If its about 4-5k it will take WEEKS before they starve.

Yeah we've got a rex been abandoned for more than two months and it doesn't show the slightest hint of taking any damage from starvation. After owner is logged off for an extended period of time it seems pets hunger doesnt rly drop. I used to feed my rex about a stack of meat a day to put it back to full. Then i was logged off for a couple weeks (stone base) then came back on and it's food was still at 75%. So chances are those rexes are gonna be there forever unless an admin intervenes.

well that's disappointing. It's an official server so the admins wont do jack squat ;^^

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pve.

jsut walk away. find a better server

OP is talking about player own rexes waiting on them to die so they could build in that location. The Goat is correct it can take a long time.

And what I like to do is drag something like a bronto to animals that are starving and kill it and feed the starving animals.

They could live forever :D

Poor hungery fellows :(

If you really want them gone, you could always just lure a bronto or other animal over and have it kill them. Or, it will at least make their food drop faster/move them away from your base.

Pull some wild rexes into them.

Unless its on passive, then it'll ignore it lol. Try luring an alpha

bronto might take forever to lure here, they dont really spawn here. Rexes usually do but anytime I try the damn ADD things stop on the way for everything and end up dying usually. I really just want an alpha rex but I never seem to find them. The low hit rate on the pve meant the alpha raptor I tried couldn't even scratch 'em

Nothing else you can do but wait then.

bleeeeh there should be a way to 'claim' dinos that have been left for like...I dunno 2-3 weeks. At least then the dino doesn't have to starve to death or be murdered, and if their owner doesn't show up in that time they sure as heck don't care

Personally Id keep trying to lure a big dino there especially a trike/stego or bronto then put the 2 rexes between you and the pissed dino and it will eventually inadvertently hit the rexes then just keep doing that till you have enough dinos to kill it.

really steam you bleep out p i s s e d...

you can easily lure other wild dino there.

like im not kidding. you can clear out an entire wood base in three hours if you and a freind keep luring ♥♥♥♥ to attack it.
well I guess I will keep trying that. It just seems most things dont even hurt it..
