Can you give me coordinates? u can use this map to point it out
www.ark-survival.net/en/dynamic-livemap
- Logging into the game,
- Walking anywhere that isn't the outer beach,
- Looking around.
In that order :)
Which in slightly different words is what I said earlier.
"Run around untill you suddenly hear trees crashing and something stomping behind you and you've very likely found a T-Rex. (or a Spino)"
You can use this method to find alphas, too!!
Then it's settled, this is the definitive answer! (Although Brontos will crash trees, too)
Actually if you walk around with your eyes closed they'll find you, much quicker than you looking for them and being ready :). To increase your chances dont take any weapons with you and if you forget your taming taming gear, that'll guarantee you your perfect low level one.
