Preserving Bin Broken?
Had prime meat in there and so far, it's taken 6 spark powder and yet to have made Prime Jerky. Was wondering if anyone else has tried this recently.

Before anyone asks, I have 2 oil and 1 prime meat per bin.

You need to have cooked prime meat in a Preserving Bin to make Prime meat jerky

You don't mention how much oil has been used, yes you need oil and sparkpowder to make jerky.

It takes a LONG time for it to make jerky. My prime often spoils before the entire stack is made. Also yes, make sure you are using cooked prime meat.

It takes 50 minutes for it to turn to jerky.

i'm well aware of the cooked prime meat. I have over 500 hours in the game. And i've made jerky plenty of times. It takes 1 oil, 1 prime meat cooked per jerky. It's been way longer than 50 minutes. trust me

Just got dozens of prime jerky.

Make sure you have 'cooked' prime in the bin. The ratio of Oil/Prime needed is 1:1.... You can make regular cooked meat jerky in the same ratio. The preserving bin uses 1 powder every 15min and it takes roughly 50mins to make the jerky.

I have found if I have other objects inside the bin such as (eggs, kibble, raw meat) while trying to make jerky the recipe doesnt work. So have a special bin assigned for only making jerky and keep the rest of your stuff in the refridgerator :)

Guys, please read. I have cooked prime meat, and 2 oil per bin. I have now went over 2.5 hours with no prime meat jerky. I have went through 10 spark powder in 12 different bins.. Math, that's 120 spark powder total.

I always have a large stack of oil, spark powder and cooked meat and have no problem making jerky. Trying putting in more than you need maybe?

Did you have anything besides Spark powder, oil and cooked prime inside the preserving bin?

Arrrh isnt it 3 oil per meat? Anyways, i usually try to have a stack go in at one time, so say 8 cooked primes, maybe one spoils but have 7 left...something like that. With Cooked meat ill throw in a 20 stack and maybe get 18 or 17 jerky. I cant remember the numbers but just remember some need to be scarificed for the rest to survive :)

PS i havent been having issues with the bin

I usually put equal amounts of cooked prime and oil inside the preserve bin and it works perfect everytime. I have found if you put in more oil than needed it will consume the oil and waste it.

Sometimes 1 or 2 pieces of prime might spoil if I am making a large batch, but having multiple preserving bins will solve this. I just made 10 pieces of jerky last night.... So im running out of ideas to help OP :)
