Having your Dino's on wander is worthless right ?

I mean having your Dino wandering is kind of pointless at the moment right? Because the Dino's ai is so bad right now but besides that are there any benefits from having it wander ? Just curious

Mine didnt go very far then again im surrounded by water and they have yet to wander through that.

You can make a gathering pen, then set them to wander inside it, they'll gather stuff while you're away and you won't lose them :)

wander is buggy as holy hell... When a creature it's om wandering setting it will walk straight through walls, gates and mountains.. So loosing them is F'ing easy when you live at the foot of the mountain on the north-west coast and you use wander-mode... Those cliffs...

Lately I've had Parasaurs who seem to be clipping out of 3 wall high pens.

Couldn't figure why eggs had fallen off until I realised male was gone. Found him outside the pen on wander! I know it's no fault of mine because once dinos are in I always use a "side entrance" so unless he got really small (and fast) he should not have got out.

Got in the habit now of wander being set to off, even in pens.

If you have a decent pen they patrol your area on wander but you have to be careful if your pen is just spikes as they can suicide when trying to get to an enemy. Big dino gates make good walls then spike outside them with about 3 foundation worth of space between so your Rex/Spino wont damage themselves when leaning through chasing something.
