U dont need incincible tamed dinos, because, if u give at them armor (sandle) they are pretty tanky.
I really dont know how u get frequently dinos stuck on trees, i have over 300 hours just happen 1 time.
Anyway be carefull when u have many dinos on fallow u, and u walk in the forest, just track a way where arent trees everywhere.
nice englisho
Thanks for the quick response. The saddle idea is a good one. That will work for most of the creatures. Thanks.
Do you know how I could increase the toughness of our tamed dinos? I don't know a console command or config file line for that particular thing. I suppose I could try researching further, but if you could point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it.
As for "taking away the fun", when I play games like this with my wife we like it to be a very casual experience. I've already disabled the need for food and water. I want her to just be able to explore, craft, tame, and enjoy the island and its creatures without stress. I know it sounds weird, but it is what it is, haha XD. She gets really frustrated when she takes the time to tame a dino only for it to get killed later. Heh....
It's probably related to the resource respawn time that I have modified. Dinos are probably just walking around and get a tree spawned on them. I find a lot of wild dinos stuck on trees, too... quite a lot, actually... and on large rocks, too. I don't mind the wild ones getting stuck quite so much, makes taming them easier because they can't run away or attack me, hahaha...
so, disable the respawn, like default.
then i have a little solution for your dinos, mount them (E) e then in console: fly
u can fly with your dinos, e unstuck them.
honor me late dude
DinoCharacterHealthRecoveryMultiplier=1.0
Higher value means faster health recovery.
DinoResistanceMultiplier=1.0
Higher value means lower resistance, i.e. DinoResistanceMultiplier=0.5 means double the resistance(taking half as much damage) and DinoResistanceMultiplier=2.0 means half the resistance(taking double as much damage).
Hmmmm... a couple of things:
What about dinos you cannot mount, such as dilos or even dodos? The little ones are the ones that die the easiest.
Also, won't implementing the God command also make us players invincible as well? I don't know if I want us to be invincible.
Anyway, thanks for the suggestions. I appreciate it!
I understand, a friend of mine gets very attached to his dinos, it is upsetting to see them die. If you have cheats enabled then when riding on a dinosaur
in Game.ini
in GameUserSettings.ini
I've not used the resistance and damage code myself, but they should be along the lines of what you want. Modify values accordingly. You could also change max exp values and exp scaling so you could out level the other dinos.
I'm sure we'll think of something! Maybe the devs can add in a command for it.
TamedDinoResistanceMultiplier=0.5 (lower = more resistance)
Theoretically, if I set this to 0, wouldn't that effectively provide 100% resistance, and thus make them invulnerable to physical damage?
This also affects(afaik) wild dinos.
It does? The command itself implies it only affects tamed dinos.
Anyway, I'm going to test it now.
I didn't see this command in the file, so I simply added it.
