Getting walls to face same way

Ive started building my stonewalls, and its so frustrateing because the stone walls wont face the same way. I have them on wooden fence foundations. One collum has the wooden upsidedown T and one collum doesnt. Ive tried breaking the wooden foundation and replaceing it on a different side but it doesnt work. Whats wrong with it?

Walls rotation is tied to foundation rotation, the only sure fire way to get a good result Is,
Remember that the smooth outer side of the wall is always to your left
always walk backward and place foundations with the above in mind. Also do not place fence foundations from different ends, always work the same way.
It sucks but there you go, the only way I can assure my walls all face the same way.

If you look really close at the foundation outline (green) as you place it, notice that one side will be straighter then the other (typically it is the right side I believe when placing into the open). The smooth side will be the inside of the wall, while the bumpy edge will be on the outside (all stone) part of the wall.

You can also see which way the wall will be placed by looking closely at the green outline before placing it to be sure it is the right way.

Even with that... sometimes it still borks up, but at least that should help!

They are a bit finicky...

The best way I've found to get them to face correctly is to make a ton of Thatch walls (they are so cheap!) and place them when you can see the "frame work" of the wall and not the solid wall. That will place the wall facing away from you. Sometimes you will have to break the fence foundation and place it again (try placing from different sides) because Ark hates you and wants you to suffer.

This is ok and expected. Once your bottom level is all thatch walls go around and place a second layer of thatch (because stone doesn't care how much you plan and only wants to waste itself so you fail... Actually the second layer hard locks the facing position for no silly double wall accidental placements).

Now replace all the thatch with stone. If you do this right then you have won the battle of Ark building and can relax... If it didn't work then you still probably did it right but Ark building is only for masochists.

Just being silly but honestly after stumbling around Arkitecture (Ha!! Get it?!) you will learn the hundreds of silly rules.

I build massively complex constructs and I still place walls backwards and have to curse.
