You'd need a mod.

But why do you want them disabled? A single dilo, or maybe two, should keep you safe from any until you have your own mount, and then they're just free chitin.

Lost 1 T-Rex and many raptors cause there was 50 or more. I like payin' with 3.0 Dino count. And every 5 metres there are 10 ants and more. When i attack one, 20 dragon fly ore more come to me :P

I dont like the ants. They make the life of ark "boring". When I see these ants still on same place, dont move etc. im going to be angry. The ants are only there cause to annoy players.

why should attack an ant a human? no logic for me.. except when i destroy the lair of them or annoy them.. oh wow, the ants havent any lairs.. -.-
I think you can mess with spawn weighting on a per-dino basis. That is, there's no option I'm aware of to completely turn off ants, but I *think* you can make it so they are super rare.

Edit: I checked. You can, maybe. Search the wiki's Server Configuration section for DinoSpawnWeightMultipliers - there's more than one section, one of which shows how to do it for specific dinos. Currently the wiki *doesnt* list ants as being one of the tags, but I suspect the wiki is just outdated. Do some searching around online, im sure someone knows what the tag is.

Explanation of server configurations: http://ark.gamepedia.com/Server_Configuration

Do a find on page for DinoNameTag to get the setting respawn info

Better list of dino tags: https://steamcommunity.com/app/346110/discussions/10/535152511350483424/

Not sure if it will work for single player. Good luck.

I don't know the command for it but there are options on the dedicated server tool to change the spawn weight to 0 and then max limit 0 (this won't get rid of the ones currently in game) But will prevent them from spawning
DinoSpawnWeightMultipliers=(DinoNameTag=Ant,SpawnWeightMultiplier=0.0,OverrideSpawnLimitPercentage=true,SpawnLimitPercentage=0.0)
DinoSpawnWeightMultipliers=(DinoNameTag=FlyingAnt,SpawnWeightMultiplier=0.0,OverrideSpawnLimitPercentage=true,SpawnLimitPercentage=0.0)
got this info from http://steamcommunity.com/app/346110/discussions/0/535150948616353007/

I know it works but I don't know if those commands are right I use an ark server tool that gives me sliders and boxes to fill in for these values and it works to turn them off (but I don't have them off right now so the game.ini doesn't show the command(it only shows the alphas because I have those turned off)

why fiddle with spawn weights when you can just replace them in server settings with some other kind of dino, or disable completely:
add
[/script/shootergame.shootergamemode] NPCReplacements=(FromClassName="Dragonfly_Character_BP_C",ToClassName="") NPCReplacements=(FromClassName="Ant_Character_BP_C",ToClassName="") NPCReplacements=(FromClassName="FlyingAnt_Character_BP_C",ToClassName="")
in \Config\WindowsServer\Game.ini
That will disable Meganeuras, Ant soldiers and drones. You will have to use "cheat destroyall <classname>" for each creature you want to get rid of to clear map of already spawned ones.

Ants will defend where they live from trespassers, the real problem is that theres no way to tell where ants live. You're walking around and suddenly they pop out of the foliage. There should be visible ant mounds and the ants should hang around them.

When it comes to the dragonflies, there seem to be two issues causing an overabundance of aggression:

1) For some reason they aggro with the ants, and vice versa I believe. They will come and join in the fight if you attack one or the other. I can't imagine why this would be intentional but it seems like it should be an easy fix to just set them to different "factions" as it were.

2) The dragonflies are meant to be scavengers. I believe it is possible that sometimes they will "claim" the corpse of something as soon as you kill it, and then when you attempt to harvest it they interpret that as you "stealing" their meal and become aggressive.
