Questions on turret settings!!!

Ok, so my base is up on a plateu, the only dinos that can get to it are birds. I currently have my turrets set up to target players/tamed dinos, however people are just running out the ammo by dropping in tamed creatures, or just running by them on birds.

I am wanting to switch to player targeting only, however I wanted to make sure of a couple of things first as I have not used only this setting before:

1) If someone flys by on a bird, and the turrets have a clean shot at the person riding it, will it shoot them? Or not because they are flying the bird?

2)what if turrets dont have a clean shot? will they shoot at the bird until its dead and then the person? I am afraid if birds wont be shot at all, then people will just block the turrets view by landing/dropping an animal right in front of it

3) if a person is carrying a person on a bird will it shoot the person being carried when they come in range? Or will it wait till they are dropped before it starts shooting them?

put your turrets inside the base if you don't have enough bullets to support the turrets when people do that.

turrets will shoot at the animal first, but can also shoot the person at the same time.

Or put a fence up. Pack of raptors on aggressive. Turr on player only.

If you set it to "only Players" it will shoot at the player - if a bird (or any creature) is in the way it will shoot them too ;-)

Grow an Organic Turret in the middle of your yard, set the range to high, and watch that ♥♥♥♥♥♥ mow down anything that tries to fly in.

EDIT: Seriously, I put one inside my walls and now it ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ rains dead Pteranodons every thirty minutes or so. Just make sure there's plenty of fertilizer to keep it fed when you are offline.

set them on high and no warring, it will help some. only players is good to there is no way to stop them from draining your ammo though, they can sit out of range and rocket launcher them away safely as well.
