Can't tame a monkey?

I knocked a monkey out with a tranq, but it says "61/100" for unconscious. What does that mean? I can't feed him anything, just that over his body. What do I do?

Its a non violent taming method like the ape and itchys.

Or dodo kibble, dodo egg+rockarrot+cooked meat jerky along with water fiber and purple berries in a cooking pot

Do not kill the monkey if you tranq it to sleep, it will wake up eventually. The numbers you see i believe is the health. The monkey will wake up at random. Also, the kibble does not use jeky. It uses normal cooked meat.
