Is it worth it is up to you feeling the time spent is worth it.
There is still the medical brew, though, which is quite easy to make and works just as well as the old blood bags. Make medical brew.
removing the cooldown would make it alright I guess, since they spoil so quick in your inventory you won't be able to carry like 50 of them and just chug them like you used to since they'd all spoil before you need them.
But yeah I haven't used or made a single blood pack since they nerfed them, completely useless now.
At least high HP builds have a point now though, my friend went for like 500hp build and I was just as tanky as him with 150hp because I could just chug bloodpacks that he made for me nonstop.
Now I have to play it smarter while he can still run in there taking hits and not give a ♥♥♥♥.
I agree that the cooldown should be like 10 seconds or something of the sort. It'd make it way less effective than Medical Brews, but way better than the current.
While we're here though, I agree with the op. Back when there was no cooldown I would stock up on blood packs constantly and use it like a vampire when in a cave but then they added an absurdly long cooldown making them useless. 5 seconds would be a much better cooldown.
At this point administers have even encoded the error into Forum rules.
As to the topic, I'd definitely be interested in the math. Assuming one was hungry, would it give you 15% faster HP regeneration when one is using jerky? 20% when one is using cooking meat? 5% if one is using Brew? Interesting.
