I've eaten many alphas of all variety. Their loot appears to be entirely random. 80 something rex yielded ramshackle junk while a level 12 raptor got me a 186% journeyman crossbow. 40 alpha carno gave me mastercraft hide and chiting pieces (not bps sadly) while a 76 rex had nothing but arrows berries and arms.
Its a bit disheartening really. You'd think the harder the alpha the better the reward but that seems not to be the case.
Just another aspect of how half-baked the Alpha design and implementation really is. If it werent for the exp boost they give my dinos id ignore them most of the time at this point.
What level Alpha? A level 18 or so raptor gave my 200 bird just shy of a full level, my 231 rex still gets a good jump from any mid level carno or rex as well.
A level 48 alpha rex netted me a primitive crossbow.
My worst loot has come from alpha rexes. I get better loot from alpha raptors & carnos. My best loot to date was a level 4 alpha raptor netting a mastercraft pickaxe but only 181.1% damage.
about 5 I think... I did get a rex helemt skin though lol
