Monkey Tame Issue - Monkey Ascended to God Mode status
Okay had 3 different experience so far.

1 - put a berry in, it proceeded to run from me and then reset twice before disappear from sight - possibly due to lag

2 - put a berry in, put another in, then it wouldn't let me feed anymore and ran off like a bat outta hell

3 - narc'd it, boxed it then fed it a berry then it's food drastically fell - I watched the food tank empty. Then its taming dialog box thingy disappeared and I can no logger interact. I can not even kill it. Its just walking around like a zombie monkey in my pen.

When approaching I tried walking up to it, crouching, going prone - all with dinos at a good distance with tribe mate watching and I even tried removing everything except the berries.

The taming makes no sense, even if you have to swap berries/meat on ocassion, the food tank emptying and then becoming the demi-god like monkey king is clearly bugged.

Seems like it still needs some refining for the taming process.

They need to make them stop dry humpping walls forever when they enter scared mode, its just silly to be tameing outside and have them run into a persons house and keep running forever.

yea these monkeys seem to be bugged when trying to tame. They freak out and start running away for no reason at all and even trying to drop them in a pen they do the same thing.

I tried that and they still ended up glitched... Someone said they come to you? I doubt that. People on private servers are haivng less issues also it seems.

I just tamed 2 with dodo kibble wihout a problem. They ran away after i feeded them, but i ran after them and could feed again. 3 kibbles each did the job, on a 3x taming speed server. The only problem is they are so small that it's hard to see them when they run from you if there is grass in the ground.

I tried taming one earlier and it was just impossible. I'd feed it like a good 10 berries and then as I'm walking up to it, before I can even give it a berry, it freaks out and starts running into a wall. So I back up a generous distance and it keeps making it's scared noise and won't let me feed it. After about a minute of that I can feed it again. It's tame bar is fine so I thought "It's no big deal". Feed it another ten berries and it runs into the wall again. Only this time when it calms down it's taming bar is lower. I feed it a berry and it goes down again. Eventually it resets and I give up. All's I want to do is have a monkey on my shoulder with little hats ;_;

They're kind of like the yetis. If the yeti gets angry and comes at you, you cannot feed it. You have to let it fall out of that state. If the monkey is spooked, like wise, you cannot feed it.

The monkey is harder because you have to keep a distance to get it to fall out of the "spooked" state, and it's so small you might lose track of it. You can't keep chasing it close, otherwise it will remain spooked and keep running and you will be unable to feed.

The easiest way I've found is trying to tame them near water. Going under water almost immediately loses the spook, as if ducking under makes it think you've gone away. I can then swim up and quickly feed it again, then dive back into the water. It doesn't take very many kibble feeds to get the job done either. They get hungry pretty much immediatley after falling out of being scared.
