How to attack an air-access only base? 20+ turrets? :(
This tribe stores all its' elite 220 birds in this inaccessible base. Need some tips on how to attack it...

Also..is there any damned way to make a bird "land" if you had to dismount it with R instead of space bar? when they hover in a pen that's small with their wings spread (dactyl) the stupid thing blocks half the base movement wise.

How else do you defend effecticly against offline raiding... it's go big or go home bro..
yup...cant be online all the time so build big. i have a base like this, i sleep well knowing when i log off my stuff will be there tomorrow. lol its instant death to even fly close to my house.

I''ve built into the crater in Hidden Lake in the North East... Every enterance is covered and gated, Dino's are on aggressive wandering, and I have a sprawling base that allows my turrets to cover the area's above the crater wall... I love sitting farming... and hearing a brief WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWRRRRRRRRRRRRR of gunfire and knowing all is right with the world. Building your base and planning it out to be an impenitrable fortress with redundant defences and fall back all the way (with the plant X addition makes it even better) the best deterent to a raid is to make it too painful to raid.

This base is on top of the "nortH" mountain. It's the very tip top platform area, that's gigantic, supported with pillars. The ramp below it to the to of the mountain has gates and one oculd probably get rex's up there "below" all that...maybe the can absorb enough 'below it" to allow someone to shuttle "up" to the platform area.

So..no one has really said..can you drop grenades from "higher" than the agro level of turrets and have them blow the turrets up?

Can you drop c4 from an animal? Would the c4 even be explodeable if you're out of turret range? etc etc

Hmmm lots of speculation in this tread the problem is that if we can't see the base ie a picture, then we can't give suggestions on how to raid it.

Turrets will likely nail what ever you drop, Nades will detonate before they get into range.

Turret range is greater than grenade range from what I've tested

the picture is irrelevant. if it's bird access only this would apply to any base that isn't accessable by land animals with 20 turrets on it ;) I'm looking for theories on how to actually attack it without just suiciding birds..that's totally impractical if they have 20k ammo up there
mad viper 28 AGO 2015 a las 11:14
the problem is if its that bad outside its probably worse inside lol. i got like 30 cannons outside but more then 50 inside 4 redundant gens feeding them all getting even 3 of them wont help. i would leave him alone he really dont like company...

go above turret range holding a player from your bird, drop grenades and hopefuly blow turrets or walls so you can get entry.

havign designed these bases for myself, they are the best kinds of self defense. i dont raid though so nobody really attacks me, but in the event somebody does, its hell for them.

Shoot 20 rockets all at the same side at the same time? Turrets could handle only so many at a time I would think. If 20 isn't enough, shoot more, If you can't shoot more then list how many people could raid at the same time.

I must test again, but I am pretty sure turrets pop nades as well as RPG's, that and having tested it, turrets will start firing long before you get in range for a nade to explode. as in the time ti takes for it to travel and the internal timer to run down and blow. even flying above it doesn't help.... dude would need prehaps 1k of grenades for that 10% lucky hit... way WAY more resources needed to break in than what you would get as a reward

it's the 20,50 very peak. you could "probabyl" force your way up to 'below" it with trex's..then depending on orientation of the turrets? fly a dactyl up the base of the slope to drop someone off under the base? course 20k bullets might require a "lot" of trex soaking

and I don't even konw how that works..if i'm on a trex and turret is set to player it hits the trex in stead? or does it kill me first then star tpopping the rex?

and how much soaking can a 40k rex really take? does it take hours to heal back etc?
