About that dismounting while flying...

Can we freaking not? I've leapt to my death twice now due to accidentally hitting the "E" button (right there, next to the W...no auto-run/fly/walk as of now) and once because I lagged out hideously while flying and somehow managed to hit spacebar and it flung me off - I flew into the air even higher and then SPLAT. Since we can't land our fliers, can we maybe have another option for that? Like a toggle that disallows dismounting while flying ont he action wheel?

Well you see you can rebind the "E" keys use to something else.

Until you get the hang of flying without pressing E, carry a parachute or two and a spyglass to call the flyer down.

I accidentally did this once, and since I have carried a parachute with me at all times. I do agree it is annoying that it is the E key, however I also use this to help dismount at times when using spacebar to land doesn't seem to work.

TLDR: Get a parachute.

I do try to use parachutes. But it true Bad luck Brian fashion, I 'chute into a pack of rexes. xD I just think it would be a useful option to have since you can't land while on them either. But optional for those players who want to parachute into enemy bases or something. Being about to carry bombs would be amusing as well for "nuke 'em from orbit" situations e.g. I found a group of 3 alpha raptors today in a clump. Boom goes the dynamite.

E should land the bird and Spacebar should toggle walk/fly mode when close to land.

Parachute much? You can change the direction you are going so you don't land on the pack of Rexes.

I agree! there should be an option to turn off accidentily hitting E so that doesn't happen!

I'm pretty sure the sides of mountains are not flat, but I do land there with space frequently. Sometimes I can't even reach my bird from where I ended up.

Usually if I don't land, the game is lagged and I'll rubberband and find myself next to my building instead of over it and it will still fly down and I jump off if I don't press anything to move/abort landing.

yeah, closest thing is: "all stop whistle" they usually land. "all follow" they get closer. sometimes u can get them closer to u to mount.

Separating "Dismount" from the "Use_everything_else_in_game" key really needs to happen.

Simply changing "E" to another keybind is not the answer.

oh i'd love this so much. i am getting so sick of falling to my death while trying to built up high....
