both with my tribemate are using radio, set same freq and checked voice chat box, still voice is not working when pressing default button for voice chat "b" any suggestions how to use it?

b is for area voice chat. when someone stands near you you can can press b to voicespeak in a certain area for talking with strangers. Radio is something different but i don`t have craftet it yet and honestly don`t know why i should when you can use "Teamspeak"

Yep, ts for your tribe is better, but we use radio to alert our allies in other tribes that someone is attackin us and viceversa

In this game ts is a cheat, I don't allow it on my server, you have to use the radio which means you have to be carefully no one is listening to you. You press b and talk through the radio keep it in your hot bar and it should work. It's b so if someone is close they can hear as well just like in real life

Since when is teamspeak a cheat? And you don't allow it? You dont even have ANY possibility to check if one is using teamspeak or not, just lol.

i tried pressing B when keeping radio in hotbar and it didn't worked at all

I really think it's rather asinine that we have to carry around yet another hotbar cluttering item to get such a simple chat function as private messaging.

Also why does no one mention that you can't use Tribe Chat with it on your hotbar? Terribly designed item imo. It should just be the standard /whisper or /tell chat command that's been used in online games for nearly two decades.

No I don't. For me it makes no sense disallowing a great feature in a game which is related to play in a group. ARK is so heavily tribe related and why would you disallow a tribe to communicate over a very good way? I mean, what disadvantage do you see here?

The radio accepts up to 4 digits on the GHz frequency and each frequency is unique. So, you have up to 10,000 combinations of possible frequencies to choose from.

To use the radio you must have it in your action bar. It does not have to be equipped, just present in one of your 1-9 slots. Putting the radio back into your normal inventory will turn it off.

When your radio is active, your tribe chat button (default / )is replaced by radio chat and. Everyone on that given frequency can see what you type into radio chat and hear your voice chat.

yeah we have figured that out, but i'm more interested in voice chat via radio, but when i flew up few metters my tribemate wasn't able to hear my voice, only saw what I type "/" in [Radio] chat

lol, we use teamspeak when we are online and a whatsapp group when someone is offline so we can coordinate 24/24

And there is also a steam group chat + voicechat from steam. ^_^ tho nice to know how the radio works. tho our server has area Voice disabled and is instead server wide. (so i could be on the bottom of the ocean and my friend on mountain top can hear me.)

ok guys so any one realized how to use radio voice? it is just not working for us ;(
