How to get eggs from dinosaurs ?
I have a lot of dinosaurs, but all of them can't lay them. Can you even have eggs?

yes you can, only females lay eggs, mated dino's seem to have a better chance. Location is a key, make sure they are on flat ground not a hill slope, can lose eggs through the ground. Hang around the dino's for a game day, you'll usually end up with a couple eggs on the ground if you have alot. If they aren't laying, reposition your dino's and try again.

easy you need a male and female of the same spiecies adn the will give you egg over time. the give more egg's if you take them with you.
Couple things i discovered, They need to be mate boosted and fed, and they will only lay eggs if they are so to speak chunk loaded. if your far enough away the area goes into a sort of stasis.

Also if you got legacy dinos from the before the egg patch the dinos will be broken and not lay at all, i had to kill over half my dinos and it fixed it.

Also something I have noticed.. If you want eggs its best to place dinos you want them from IE females on some sort of Foundation. When I put them on the ground they are hard to see, or seem to fall through the ground. After I placed my Dinos on foundations I went from 0 to few to... WOW.

What's a lot of dinosaurs? I've got 125 total inside my base walls between 3 players. Most of those are mine at around 70 pets.

When I log into game each evening I run around and put food in all my troughs. Once done with that I'll check my females for eggs... sometimes they've started dropped by then sometime not but usually within an half hour to hour of logging in I've got around 4 or 5 various eggs.

The follow do not lay eggs atm:
Mammoth
Sabertooth
Giga

Sometimes you loose the eggs as they will sink into the ground! I have noticed this issue getting worse with more patches and areas that didn't sink before in my area now do! For example last patch my bronto didn't sink when placed on this area!

This patch she does!
And other wild brontos I notice are sinking in many areas that didn't sink them before too! I also have bad lag back again with this patch and for some reason my mammoths are always glitching out! But yes sometimes eggs sink under the ground causing you to not get them! I am actually in the process (when the game isn't constantly laggy and unplayable building a base which will house all my dinos indoors! As whilst I get eggs from most of my dinos before I moved I was getting eggs from my scorpions now I don't get any eggs since moving! I have moved them up on the floor of my base and hopefully I will now find eggs again from them! And hopefully they wont fall through the floor! which I know is possible and is why I am planning on housing dinos or at least most dinos on the second floor of my base! Rexes and spinos etc wont be possible though:( but I hope they fix this glitching through the ground stuff soon!

Can the eggs hatch ?🚼
Zergling963 Aug 26, 2015 @ 9:26am
not at this point! Think they are planning on us being able to breed dinos in the future! Right now eggs are for top taming high level dinos with kibble which speeds up the process and also gives you high taming effectiveness and high bonus levels!

They say they will add a new dinosaur who can steal and eat eggs.:steamsad:

From what I knew it was a dino that actually collected the eggs for you but guess it makes sense it would also eat them since the oviraptor is an actual egg stealer and eats eggs to survive!

I am hoping it won't eat the eggs it collects for you though! As then if you have it to collect eggs whilst away you could still come back to no eggs!
