Too Many Alpha Spawns Near The Base

After the patch I am seeing way too many alpha raptor spawns next to my base which is on north west beach (32,18). I have already lost my carno and high level raptors in one fight. I dont want to lose rest of my dinos. Just as I killed one alpha, another one spawned about an hour later. How can I save my base and dinos if they keep coming back. I cant go out gathering as these alphas roam just outside my beach side base! Its not fun anymore if I cant even go outside gathering...any ideas please?

there are only few sure ways to deal with alfa's

one is to build 5 high walls, usually the alfa's can't spot your dino's inside anymore then and will ignore your walls and dino's then.

two is the build a metal wall, alfa's can't breach metal.

three is to tame a lot of dino's to either use as cannon fodder or tame a few strong ones to fight off the alfa's

4, and that is the easiest one. Move out of Alfa territory. The south of the Island is pretty much alfa free. while the North, were the mountains and such are. spawns alfa's

Thanks for tips. I cant move out as I have aleady invested in the base a lot when it was peaceful there, making another one will take a long time. And I dont have enough metal to build metal walls yet.

I'll start raising wall height, does it need to go 5 high to lose line of sight?

Will building foundations nearby stop the spawns? I am on private server so I am wondering if that wil help.

I wish my base had constant supply of alphas. Sooo jelly of you.

Seems you got a lot of fire power if you are wishing for lots of Aphas :)

Alphas = lots of xp + good items. I am also at NW beach (at the edge to the snow). hope they spawn a lot for us too.

nothing a 200 rex cant fix :) or 3 of them i'm with Jay free exp and stuff

I agree that you cant beat the XP and items you get but you can lose all your dinos if they are not strong enough for a fight. I need more dinos to protect my base. After last fight I am only left with few medium level mamoth, saber, trilkes and teras. No rex, carno or spino with me at the moment.

Foundations are not really going to stop alphas spawns. A small chance. Being your on a private server you can turn alphas off.

Well there are other players on this server as well and they wont agree on completely turning off Alpha spawns as they are good XP and stuff.

I'll give foundation/Pillars a go to see if it helps reduce the spawn, otherwise I'll have to send SOS requests to other tribes who may or may not able to come down to take down the Alpha.

All I want is enough time to get more tamed dinos so that I can tackle these Alphas, until then prevention and defence are my only options I guess.

Can I take down Alpha raptor with my 104 tera with 400% damage and 900 health? Or I need something more poweful?
