Copyright Claim on ARK audio (DEV QUESTION) [HIGH PRIORITY]
is this a valid complaint or a mismatch from youtube, i need to know. If its valid then its going to complicate all youtube videos in the swamp biome. It was audio from the swamp biome.

I wouldn't put it past these developers. The audio sounds terribly similar to a popular television serious between 1994(?) - 2009. IMO .... the audio feed is a total copyright infringement despite the fact it's a horrible knock-off and they made subtle changes to it.

I doubt they, Studio Wildcard, purchased the rights/permission to the audio to complete a remix, or had the original sound producer from SG, SG1, SGU, SGA come on board with the Studio Wildcard developers.

Also, I hadn't wasted any time to post this, nor bothered to validate who the audio producer is for Studio Wildcard.

Awfully similar to...

similar often happens in the music business, if you understand song writing notes and writing music you will understand this happens a TON, the melody needs to be exact (through out) or it isnt copy right infringement. not to mention, there are constant re uses of the same melodies in music, more than you know, with the slightest of variations, (and sometimes not) without requiring any legal rights. "its similar" is hardly copyright infringing....infringing is using the exact song, or the exact (literally exact) notes through out and sounds (synths can be slightly modifed without infringing). or using snip its of audio from a particular song (depending on length) for use in a song that produces money.

in other words, i could right an exact same song using only slight different sounds and changing 1 note, from its popular original, and its not infinging.

and the music you posted from SG....is completely different in chord progression, not an infringement at all. it may contain some of the same patterns, but thats really common, not at all the same progression.

Yes. YT quite cleverly absolves themselves in the process, for obvious reasons. As soon as they side, given they are the content provider, they set a prcedent for every case thereafter.

And the wording IS scary and almost makes you feel like you became a bad person instantly. Just reply curtly and swiftly. After about the 3rd on original works, I found it annoying that we have to endure it.

FYI: A friend was telling me recently they stopped trying on his works so maybe the bot is exceptioned at some point?

Glad I am not the only one with this problem.

Seems your being just as dishonest as you imply the developers might be.

Whatever, it took a total of 1 minute to find youtube videos for the SG series theme song.

You're clearly an imbecile... I do not care to research the issue, plus it would take at least a good hour to dig up the other information. I don't have time for that, nor time for an uneducated dullard as you. You need to learn the English language or read. :DD

So attempting to use my grammar as proof of unintelligence, while your own isn't impeccable is your defense? Really? Can't you troll a bit better than that?

Admit it, you're just mad I don't like StarGate. ;p

Yep, but it's not "that" scary... YT really can't legally do anything other than remove the content and close the YT account. If an account holder wants to dispute the claim they can contact the author of the produced media involved to obtain permission for the content. The only problem is... time to dispute it and most people don't know how easy it is.

Speaking of trolls, ever heard of copyright trolls? Some IP firms purposely cast a wide net hoping people won't counter claim in fear. As they can get the ad revenue from the disputed page. There is another thread on here where a company known to do such is attempting to use this methodology on Sketchbooks YT.

Claim on first video has been dropped, no response yet on second video, considering the response from youtbe saying not responded in 30 days i assume this is a canned response to a dismissed claim, since it hasnt been 30 days ofc.
